Sea level rise VR-experience illustrates the effects of the rising sea level due to global warming. Various potential futures are displayed, from the effects of 1.5ºC warming to a worst-case scenario. Even though the near future effects of the rising sea level are not catastrophic in Helsinki, some areas like Tuvalu are in grave danger to loose major parts of the land under water. In addition to illustrating the sea level in different global warming scenarios, the experience demonstrates a Tuvalu-Helsinki comparison for better understanding of the global situation. All scenarios are based on IPCC climate reports and data.
